Original Conception sketch for my latest piece, a hickory and walnut chisel box I made for Joanie. She lent me these chisels around 2 years ago. I thought when I returned them that they should be used to create their own box.
And here's what it turned out to look like. Surprisingly close to the plan! Amazing!
This is what things looked like when I started. Just a board...
...and this is the finished product again. Probably my favorite piece I've ever made. I love the way the grain pattern worked out.
